Taking a Break from the Kids with a Romantic Hot Tub Weekend
We know by now that it’s hard work being a parent. Family is the greatest gift I’ve been given but sometimes, it really pays to reconnect with your significant other. Ensuring that the spark is still there and working to keep it alive is imperative to a great family dynamic. I love slipping away for the weekend to a nice lodge with a hot tub for some quality time with the husband. Usually, I have to go local as it’s only a weekend however, we sometimes get to venture a little further to places like these Tennessee cabins when we get a few extra days off! As long as the place has a hot tub though, I am very happy. We’re talking about hot tubs here – aren’t they just made for romantic getaways?
They most certainly are and testimony to this is the quintessential, high-end honeymoon suite at any hotel or resort, whether it’s a five-star beachfront hotel or indeed if it’s a log cabin somewhere in the woods. The quintessential honeymoon suite is in a sense made by the presence of a hot tub and in some instances the hotel staff even go out of their ways to make it extra special, if not very suggestive, by perhaps filling the hot tub up and setting it to the perfect temperature, with a trail of red rose petals leading up to that ultimate romantic spot where two glasses and a bottle of champagne are chilling alongside some strawberries and cream, or whatever else a “young love” couple are eager to feed each other with.
That’s all you need really and if the hot tub overlooks a great exterior view that never gets tired, all the better!
Hot tub breaks for 2 are in serious abundance, and you can always find something within your price range in the UK. What could be better than packing up a swimsuit and the one you love and darting down the motorway to a luxurious romantic hot tub break? We personally enjoy holidays cottages with hot tubs over, say, hot tub lodges or log cabins with hot tubs in the UK.
Soaking in a hot tub with your significant other gives you both the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with each other in whatever way the mood takes you, one of which is engaging in some deep and insightful conversation and really getting to know each other if that is indeed where the relationship is.
Set the mood further with some softly playing romantic music in the background, perhaps with a docking station for your iPod, or you if you’re going to be soaking it up for hours in the hot tub, you can even enjoy a good book each. You don’t both have to be in the hot tub at the same time the whole time, however, but it definitely makes for a nice centre point for any romantic break.
While you’re busy enjoying each other’s company aided by whatever it is you have to snack on and drink, don’t forget that all the regular benefits of soaking in a hot tub are still being made available to you. Soaking in a hot tub is one of the most relaxing (non-) activities you can ever engage in, alternating between just lying there and letting the perfectly tempered water caress your skin and making full use of the massage-like features that come with using the jets.
A couple with both halves in their most comfortable and relaxed states makes for the perfect setting in which to enjoy each other’s company, something which proves to be very healthy for any relationship, no matter what stage that relationship is in.
So if you’re even thinking about planning a romantic break with your significant other, it won’t be as romantic if a hot tub isn’t involved.
